Alumnus Learned More Than Facts in College
The first years of college can be very daunting and challenging, and it may take students a few life and academic lessons to teach them to adapt to their environment and reorganize their priorities. Victor “Tom” Jones (’99), alumnus of computer engineering technology, experienced those daunting years and has a story that sounds familiar to many other alumni. Jones failed to achieve academic success in his first few years, but through a poignant teachable moment with a faculty member he changed his course and achieved success. more
