Master of Technology in Futures Studies in Commerce

The following is a list of courses required of all students pursuing the Master of Technology degree in Futures Studies in Commerce. For a complete description of these courses, visit the UH course catalog.

Course Requirements for the Master’s Degree (MT) in Futures Studies in Commerce

  • TECH 6311: Introduction to Future Studies
  • TECH 6371: World Futures
  • TECH 6351: Futures Research
  • TECH 6353: Scenarios and Visions
  • TECH 6319: Proseminar in Futures Studies
  • HDCS 6331: Advanced Strategies for Futures Planning in Consumer Sciences and Retailing
  • HDCS 6332: Consumer Issues and Futures Applications
  • HDCS 6333: Systems Applications or HDCS 6334: E-Tailing Systems
  • HRD 6300: Quantitative and Statistical Methods for Human Resources Development

Choose 9 hours from a domain area.

Choose 3 hours from the following.

  • Master's option
  • Thesis, Project or Internship
