Benefiting the Merchandising Star Endowment

The Merchandising Star Award Endowment was established to provide future funds for Consumer Science and Merchandising undergraduate and graduate scholarships, continuing education programs, student enrichment programs, and the expansion of the first online merchandising degree in the nation. Scholarships are funded with the accrued interest from the Merchandising Star Awards events proceeds.

The event honors outstanding members of the retail community. The awardees this year include:

Emily Armenta, Jewelry Designer - Design Merchandising Star Award

Roseann Rogers - Media Merchandising Star Award

Harris County Judge Ed Emmett - Community Service Merchandising Star Award

Target - Retail Innovation Merchandising Star Award

Student, University of Houston - Emerging Merchandising Star Student Scholarship Award
