Pre-Graduate Information

Policies and Procedures

Overview

Post-Baccalaureate students are no longer able to enroll in graduate level courses. A new category has been created, Pre-Grad. Pre-Grad students may take no more than 12 graduate level credits while in this status.

Application Process (applying Pre-Grad)

Student Submission Requirements

Pre-Grad applicants are required to provide:

  • Off Site Application (Student will need to apply to a College of Technology Graduate Program)
  • Official Transcripts
  • Official TOEFL Score (waived with a degree earned from an English-speaking country)
  • Application Fee
  • Letter of Intent that identifies:
    • Request to change application to Pre-Grad
    • Directed area of study in the College of Technology (HRD, FSC, TPM, IS, SCLT, ET, CM)

Application and Application Supporting Document Deadline
  • Fall: July 1st (April 1st for International Applicants)
  • Spring: December 1st (October 1st for International Applicants

Application Requirements

  • 2.75 minimum GPA for last 60 credit hours of undergraduate work
  • Completed Bachelor's degree
  • Some programs may require additional technical knowledge gained through professional experience and/or academic study. For a list of program-specific requirements, please see the graduate applicants FAQ page.

Pre-Grad Restrictions

  • Students may take no more than 12 graduate level credits. If a student takes more than 12 credits, the courses will not be applied toward the graduate program.
  • Students are non-degree seeking
  • Students will not qualify for financial aid or scholarships
  • Students will need to apply to the graduate program to be considered for graduate admissions; this includes a new application and fee

To apply for graduate admission, students will need to submit the follwing items, including a new application (incomplete application will not be considered):

  • Off Site Application
  • Official Transcripts
  • Official Test
  • Official TOEFL Score (waived with a degree earned from an English-speaking country)
  • Letter of Intent
  • Three Letters of Reference
  • Application Fee
