The SHRM Learning System™ Course

Overview

SHRM sponsors the Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) and Professional Human Resources (PHR) professional certificates. The SPHR and PHR Certification "preparatory" course is designed for HR professionals who desire to achieve the industry certification that sets them apart as true professionals in the field of HR. The course is intended to provide the knowledge and the in-depth training necessary in a broad range of functional HR areas to prepare participants for the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) certification exam. The SPHR Certification is for HR professionals with 6-8 years of experience, and the PHR Certification is for HR professionals with 2-4 years of experience. SHRM requires that individuals have at least two years of professional experience in HR to use either the SPHR or PHR credential after successfully passing the HRCI exam.
